Monday 30 June – Tuesday 1 July
A 36-hour celebration of community, inclusion and opportunity in support of the UCS Bursary Award Programme.

What Is Giving Day?

Giving Day is our inaugural whole-school fundraising event. Together, we aim to raise £120,000 to fund four life-changing bursary places for talented pupils from less economically privileged backgrounds.

Pupils, staff, Old Gowers, and parents will take part in a 24-hour sponsored Activity Marathon, a day of challenges and lessons in school, and an afternoon celebration we are calling ‘Festival at The Fields’.

The 24-Hour Activity Marathon

Starts: 12:00 pm on Monday 30 June
Ends: 12:00 pm on Tuesday 1 July

The marathon runs non-stop in the Great Hall, featuring four sponsored activity areas:

  • Stationary bike
  • Walking pad
  • Rowing machine
  • Parent and Old Gower row or bike

Pupils, parents and Old Gowers can sign up for a one-hour slot and raise funds through sponsorship. Prizes will be awarded for the pupil and Deme that raise the most, go the furthest, or get the most supporters.
