All 7+ applicants will be invited to the school during the Autumn Term in small groups. Parents will have the opportunity to meet the Headmaster and be taken on a tour of the school by him, while their sons are given listening/discussion exercises and a reading assessment.

All 8+ applicants will sit the exam in January and successful candidates will be interviewed.

Approximately 60 boys aged 7 will be admitted into three classes each year, with about half that number coming from the Pre-Prep.

Applications are open between 1st January and 30th September, the year before entry. It is not necessary to apply for your son at birth.

Applications for 2025 entry are now closed.

Registration for 7+ will open on 1st January 2025.

Read our Data Privacy Notice for Parents and Guardians.

Entrance examinations

A confidential report is requested from each candidate’s current school and this plays an important part in the selection procedure.

The entrance assessment in January will consist of English and Maths tests. Tests will be administered in classrooms and a teacher will also observe social interaction and behaviour. The boys will have the opportunity to play, and will be given light refreshments during the three-hour period they attend the school.

The performance of boys in the autumn assessments (when they visit the school) is included along with entrance assessment scores and any other relevant information before decisions about admissions are made.

05

Offer & acceptance

If you would like any other information or to book for an Open Evening, please email: [email protected].
