Discover the joy of creating with clay in our exciting club led by an award-winning ceramic artist and Old Gower of UCS Jack Casey. Clay Club is an exciting opportunity for boys at UCS to learn a new skill and craft, developing their critical thinking and fine motor skills. Most importantly, Clay Club offers a play for boys to explore and express their creativity and have fun, with the therapeutic medium of clay.
Pupil Quote: “I have been doing Clay Club for almost two years now as I enjoy it so much. This term we made pots using a different technique for each one. (Pinch pot was the most fun!). Last term we made houses using lots of different wall techniques. Jack is really nice and a great teacher and if you are Top Potter of the week he gives you a hat to wear the next week. I feel that I have learnt a lot already and improved my skills as a ceramicist.”
