The Head of Spanish is primarily responsible for all matters relating to the teaching and learning, and development of Spanish within the Modern Languages provision of the Senior School curriculum.
Role & responsibilities
The successful candidate will join an experienced, successful and supportive department and will be equally enthusiastic about teaching languages. They will be, first and foremost, a strong linguist in Spanish with a passion for the study of the Spanish language and of Hispanic literature and culture, and will have a dynamic approach to the delivery of the subject.
The appointee will take on the customary responsibilities for the administration and management of an academic department under the direction of the Head of Modern Languages and will report to the Head of Modern Languages on issues such as staffing, budgeting, curriculum development and pupils’ progress.
