University College School is continuing to review its position to minimise the risk of Covid-19, which has now been declared a pandemic, to its community. We are taking the current situation regarding Covid-19 very seriously, and you will appreciate that our priority is the ongoing safety and wellbeing of our pupils and staff. We therefore ask for the support of all parents and visitors in minimising the risk of Covid-19 to its community.
We are now operating a ‘core business only’ policy focusing on lessons and internal activities such as sport, music, dance and drama. This will enable us to minimise the number of external visitors to the School for non-essential events and large gatherings which might precipitate the spread of any illness. This will involve us cancelling most scheduled events and restricting attendance at others.
The new Covid-19 guidance from Public Health England is as follows...
Covid-19 symptoms are a high temperature (37.8 degrees and above) and/or a new, continuous cough (i.e. you have started coughing repeatedly).
If you, your child or anyone in your household is showing any of the Covid-19 symptoms, please do not send your child into school. Advice can be found here...
The Covid-19 situation is changing rapidly, and we shall update this page to reflect any change in government advice. We therefore ask that you check this page again immediately prior to any visit in case our position has changed.
We thank you for your understanding of our position.
