Sixth Form Opportunities

The UCS Sixth Form offers real opportunities to all students. Sport, music and drama are very well-established. Students can join in a huge variety of competitive sports, lead orchestras, choirs and jazz ensembles, and participate as actors, directors or technicians in a wide range of plays and musicals. Every level of involvement is encouraged - from dedicated leadership to cheerful participation.

There are many opportunities for overseas travel - from sports and music tours through cultural and language trips to adventurous and outwardbound activities.

UCS works closely with the local community. Sixth Formers contribute greatly to this, through their own voluntary service and through leading others in our annual programme of charitable fund-raising.

Although a distinct unit within the school, with their own facilities for recreation and for study, the Sixth Form is still a full and important part of UCS. Sixth Formers join the rest of the school for full (non-religious) assemblies and have an important role within the school community. They will establish and direct extra-curricular clubs and societies, edit magazines, enjoy our annual Literary and Science Festivals and work closely with pastoral staff in the support and guidance of younger pupils.
