Sixth Form Curriculum

The Sixth Form curriculum is broad and balanced. All students choose four subjects for AS-level study. Over twenty subjects are available. The choice is guided and advised, but entirely free.

Students may choose to continue with all four to A-level, or to specialise in three. Teaching groups are relatively small and every effort is made to encourage students to engage with their subjects and to take responsibility for their own learning.

In addition to examination classes, students have some time dedicated to private study at school (with unrestricted access to our excellent Library and ICT facilities). One afternoon a week is devoted to sport and fitness, using the school's outstanding facilities for indoor and outdoor sports. A further afternoon is given over to an activities programme, with opportunities for community service as well as for personal enrichment.
