Sixth Form Care

UCS offers the very highest standard of pastoral care to each of our students. Sixth Formers continue to benefit from the Deme (or house) system. An additional Deme has been created to provide the best possible dedicated induction and care for girls.

Each student will work closely with a Form-Tutor and Deme Warden, meeting them daily and regularly reviewing academic progress and future plans. These are the first contacts for parents too, readily available for advice and reporting.

A team of Senior Tutors manages the Sixth Form as a whole, overseeing the social and recreational life of the Sixth Form Centre, helping students to organise social events, and planning a weekly programme of group and whole-year assemblies, and of Personal, Social & Health Education.

Students are expected to maintain appropriate standards of application, behaviour and appearance. Our approach to such issues - and that of our students - is sensible, co-operative and civilised.
