The Phoenix School Parent Guild was set up to help raise funds for the school and suitable charities, and to further a sense of community between Phoenix parents. It has gained support and strength from the parent body since its inception and now organises a series of events and activities each term. It is fully supported by the teachers and the school, and is a great forum for bringing everybody within The Phoenix together.
Our specific aims for this year are to raise as much money as possible for our chosen charities, build on the existing sense of community within the school, promoting social diversity and personal responsibility and of course organise as many fantastic social events for both children and adults as possible.
The Guild is co-chaired by Anna Mellitt, Gemma Riche and Mandy Tafler. Anna has a daughter in the Nursery and a son at the Junior Branch who also attended The Phoenix. Gemma has a son in Year 1 and another son at the Junior Branch who also attended The Phoenix. Mandy has a son in Year 2 and a daughter in Reception. She also has a son at the Junior Branch who also attended The Phoenix. All of these parents have been active fundraisers for the Parent Guild in the past and have embraced this fantastic opportunity to lead the charge and continue The Phoenix School Parent Guild legacy.
