The Centenary Choir is essentially fromed by parents, staff, Old Gowers, and friends of the school. The response to the choir has been overwhelming and regularly we have had upwards of 80 people attending rehearsals on Wednesday evenings throughout the Spring Term. There are no auditions required for this choir though some ability to hold a musical line and sing in tune is essential. Sectional rehearsals are held in order to ‘note-bash’ and then the full choir comes together for the last 50 minutes for a tutti rehearsal. It is envisaged that the full-time members of the Music Department share the baton equally to give variety approach and choice of works.
