In March 2006 the Independent Schools Inspectorate released its inspection report on both the Senior School and Junior Branch at University College School foundation. The report praises both for their environment of high attainment, “outstanding pastoral care,” and very positive attitude to learning.

Kenneth DurhamCommenting on the reports the Headmaster, Kenneth Durham, said:

“We have a great team here, and the inspectors really took time to understand what makes UCS unique. Their praise justifies the huge amount of work staff at both Schools put in to improve the quality of education continually for every one of our pupils. I’m delighted that, at a time when our building programme, the UCS Centennial Appeal and our plans for co-education are proceeding so well, we have received such strong commendations.”

Sir Victor Blank, Chairman of the governing council of the School, added

“In the competitive world of league tables and results, I am immensely proud that UCS continues academically to be so strong, without any sacrifice of the values of tolerance or care that make it such a unique institution.”
