UCS is governed by a Council of twenty members. The Universities of Oxford, Cambridge and London are formally represented. There are separate representatives of University College, London, the Worshipful Company of Grocers and the London Borough of Camden.
The membership of Council reflects a wide range of interests and talents; members are chosen for breadth of contribution that they are able to make to the governance of the School. Meetings of full Council are termly.
Additional sub-committees meet more regularly.
