WelcomeAs you will know, we are embarking on an exciting development programme at the Frognal site. This will have huge benefits for every pupil in the Foundation – from improved facilities for our young swimmers at the Phoenix, to physical fitness and indoor sporting facilities for those at the Junior Branch, to the introduction of co-education in the sixth-form and rationalization of facilities at the Senior School.

Our plans are ambitious but through our £2m UCS Centennial Appeal they are achievable. As of January 2007 we have already raised £1.57m of our total aim and are looking towards achieving our goal by the end of this academic year.

Over the past 18 months, every parent and Old Gower has had the opportunity to meet with members of Council and senior staff to find out more about the changes at UCS over the coming years, however even if you have already heard first hand about the changes,  I hope you will take the opportunity to explore this section of the website in more detail, and to find out more about our plans, and to read about what we have achieved so far.

If you have any questions about the developments, or wish to find out how gifts of every size to the UCS Centennial Appeal can make a real difference, please contact the Director of Development, Marc Whitmore. Marc can be reached on 020 7433 2139, or by emailing development@ucs.org.uk.

Council, the Headmaster, the academic and non-academic staff and I all believe that these plans will secure UCS’ future for many years to come. I hope that you will support us.
