2010 A-level and GCSE Results

This has been another good year for UCS A-level and GCSE candidates.

 A Level Results

  • With the first intake of girls, this is the largest A-level cohort in the history of the school (150 students).
  • The results are extremely good with 91.5% of passes at grade B or above (the third year in succession when this figure has been over 90%).
  • 70 students achieved at least three A grades; 16 achieved at least three A*s.
  • Over 28% of our passes were at A*. This is a good deal higher than we had expected in the first year in which the grade is available (it requires candidates to score over 90% in the Upper Sixth modules).
  • The first cohort of UCS girls did very well at A-level: 72% of girls’ grades were A or A*; 98% were at grade B or above.

GCSE Results

  • Our GCSE results were very good with nearly 85% of passes at A or A*.
  • Roughly half of UCS students passed all ten of their GCSEs at A or A*.
